Aidan Lesser is a 23 year old emerging Canadian director based in Toronto. As a filmmaker, Aidan's films are based in social realism, with seemingly mundane situations that devolve into darker stories. His second year film at Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University) Barbara (2021), won Best Short at North Bay Film Festival as well as at Smith Sound Film Festival and played at multiple festivals including Pendance.

His current film Deserter has been officially selected by both Slamdance and the Toronto Shorts Film Festival.
